2009 Dodge Journey 

Client concern - Suspected TIPM failure due to windows no longer operating & other electrical concerns. Client replaced TIPM & requested a reprogram. 

Preformed a soft reprogram on the TIPM, Confirmed new VIN registered & TIPM configured correctly - ok 

Cleared codes and confirmed "Mismatched VIN" code did not return - rescan and found "fuel pump circuit low voltage" code was new.

Investigated and found the used TIPM fuel pump circuit voltage was non existent, client has original TIPM sent off to have rebuilt and needs the vehicle in the meantime. I rerouted the fuel pump circuit supply voltage and regained fuel pump operation. 

Windows still were not operating & the scan came back with no codes. 

Opened the drivers door and inspected the door harness - no immediate concerns were found. Tested for voltage at the drivers window motor & measured battery voltage when the switch was active. Load tested window motor circuit, failed load test. Inspected further & found the two chassis connectors that connect to the drivers door harness have corrosion. 

Cleaned connecters and retested - power windows now operate normally. 

Recommend new chassis connectors & drivers door harness as I can not verify how much further into the wires the corrosion has set or how long they will continue to operate. 

2014 Dodge Grand Caravan 

Client concern - Several electrical issues - diagnose and advise 

Confirmed customer concern - intermittent windshield wiper operation, HVAC blower motor operation, power steering operation & dash lights were changing brightness on its own 

Scanned for codes - found several communication codes between several control modules and low voltage codes 

Preformed and electrical system & charging system test - found alternator has no output 

Confirmed no voltage drop from alternator charging wire to battery - ok 

Confirmed alternator field energizing circuit voltage was present when commanded - ok 

These testes confirmed alternator has failed 

Tested battery - tested good - needs recharge

Recommended - new alternator (not remanufactured), fully charge battery and retest electrical system  

1992 Mitsubishi GT3000 

Client concern - While coming up to a stop sign the car make a loud clang sound and it would not go into any gear, towed it home - diagnose and advise. 

Confirmed client concern - engine running clutch depressed it would no go into any gear. Tested engine off, the transmission would shift into gear. 

Inspected hydraulic clutch system & verified master cylinder, slave cylinder & shift fork operation - ok 

Informed client I suspect the clutch is not lifting off of the flywheel, although the external system responsible for disengaging the clutch is operating normally. 

Removed transfer-case & transmission and inspected clutch system. Found one of the dampening springs on the clutch disk has dislodged & fell between clutch friction disk and flywheel 

Recommended & replaced - Clutch disk, pressure plate + new bolts, release bearing, rear crankshaft oil seal, all transmission & transfer-case seals & fluid + machined flywheel installed new bolts.

Tested operation - ok

2012 Ram 2500HD 5.7L

About the service truck - purchased for $3500 needing an engine 

Original owners concern - Engine shut down while driving, will not restart. 

Investigated and found cylinder 5 intake valve had dropped into the cylinder and damaged cylinder head and cylinder bore

I send engine block and cylinder heads to machine shop & completely rebuild engine with several high performance components to avoid typical Hemi “tick” issues - includes milling high pressure oil pump, stage 1 camshaft, Johnson & Johnson lifters with matching pushrods & shim valve stem installed height to factory spec (1.975" +- 0.005"). 

10'000km on rebuild so far and I couldn`t be happier with it.
